Exciting news about the new scholarships at the American University in Bulgaria.
Due to the availability of external funding AUBG will be FREE if the sum of your verbal and math scores on the SAT test is 1300 or more. We have the resources to offer every excellent student a full, 4-year scholarship that covers 100% of the tuition. Students who are good, but have scores not that high, will receive partial scholarships because AUBG is committed to being the best place for any good student.

OSI Scholarships
Open Society Institute and American Councils offer Financial Awards for students applying for 2009-2010 school year. These scholarships cover the eight-semester period required to complete an AUBG degree.
Eligibility Requirements - Students who holds or will hold a secondary school degree by August of the year 200, who are not currently enrolled in institutions of higher education may apply for the scholarship.
All OSI Financial Awards 2008-2009 will be Full and Partial Awards:
Full Awards are called OSI Scholarships and are limited in number. They cover tuition, residence hall and students activity fees at AUBG. All students who receive an OSI Scholarship are expected to cover the cost of food, books, travel, visas and residence permits, and health insurance.
Partial awards. The OSI Scholarship applicant pool is also used be AUBG t award need based OSI-funded partial financial aid awards. These awards should not be confused with the OSI Scholarships.
Travel
The OSI Scholarship does not cover travel, visas, residence permits. And health insurance. Admitted students are supposed to cover all their travel expenses by their own funding.
Admissions (Application Process)
Applications are available on the AUBG website for submitting on-line or downloading.
Required documents:
- application form (paper based or on-line)
- official high school transcript (of 8th, 9th, 10th classes)
- Three letters of recommendation, with translation if not in English
- official test scores (SAT score - 1000, Institutional TOEFL score - 550 pbt)
- Students who have taken the official TOEFL and SAT Reasoning test should be advised to require ETS (www.ets.org/toefl) and College Board (www.collegeboard.com) send their official scores to AUBG. The AUBG Institution code for receiving official TOEFL and SAT scores is 2451.
